St Thomas College of Engineering and Technology, chenganoor (Autonomous)
St. Thomas college of Engineering & Technology was established by St. Thomas educational society, Adoor Tower- Adoor with an aim of providing quality higher education at par with international standards. The Members of the society comprising of experienced persons from the field of education, engineering, medicine, business etc who have proven track records by the establishment of Carmel engineering college, Perunad, Ranni, St. Thomas college of engineering & Technology, Sivapuram- Kannur and Travancore International School, Adoor.
The governing body of the society comprises of Mrs. Gracy Babu, President (W/o Late Er. Palazhi Babu Thomas & Former Chairperson of Carmel Engineering College, Perunad, Ranni), Mr. Jose Thomas, Secretary (Founder Treasurer of Carmel Engineering College, Perunad, Ranni & Chairman of Travancore International School, Adoor) and Mr. Jacob Thomas, Treasurer (Former Accounts Manager of Kwality Ice cream, UAE).
College of Engineering Perumon
The College of Engineering Perumon was started during the year 2000 under the Co-operative Academy of Professional Education (CAPE) on the banks of the Astamudi lake, which is included in the tourism map of Kerala. The special ambience is most suited for an ideal place for the establishment of an Engineering College intended to acquire a deemed University status in due course. It is at Kuzhiyath Junction along the Kollam-Perumon Road (via- Anchalummoodu) 13 kms away from Kollam Railway Station and 12 kms from Kollam bus stand via NH47. The nearest railway station is Perinad at 1km distance. The college is about 90 kms from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport.
The college offers six fully established under graduate programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering and two part-time(for working professionals) undergraduate programmes in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.Admission to all the seats in this institution is through the Central Counseling by the Govt. of Kerala. Candidates admitted are those allotted by the commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Kerala based on the Common Entrance Examination to professional courses of the respective years applying the principles of mandatory reservation. For this academic year 90% seats are treated as free seats and filled by the allotment of Commissioner of Entrance Examinations and out of the balance 5% Management Quota is allotted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination and 5% NRI is filled up by the CAPE. For the Management Quota also, mandatory reservation principles, eligibility rules and fees are as prescribed by Govt.of Kerala and the affiliated University.
The Institution has a full-fledged Training & Placement Cell (CGPC) which dedicates itself to help students to develop their personality and establish their careers. The activities of CGPC include preparing the students to face Competitive Examinations and Interviews through intensive training. CGPC is constantly in touch with companies and offers all facilities for conducting recruitment.
Bishop Jerome Institute
Bishop Jerome Institute is promoted by the Bishop Jerome Foundation, an educational non-profit charitable trust formed by the Catholic Diocese of Quilon to promote medical, technical, management and other professional education. Latin Catholic Diocese of Quilon does not need a formal introduction, as pioneers in the field of Education. Late Bishop, Jerome M. Fernandez's missionary zeal and enthusiasm was instrumental in setting up High Schools and Higher Secondary Schools across all parishes of the Diocese, thus promoting quality education to its sons and daughters.
Reckoning the need of the decade; to have a Diocesan initiative in the field of professional education to equip its next generation sons and daughters ‘competitive ready technocrats’, the Diocese of Quilon ventured into this field by establishing its own professional education centre - ‘Bishop Jerome Institute’- with three varied schools pursuing three different programmes viz., School of Engineering and Technology, School of Architecture and Design, and School of Management. An Educationalist himself, His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Stanley Roman's vision and commitment to the educational and social uplift of the populace of the Diocese served to bring this dream project into a reality. The project initiated in 2010, has grown to a full-fledged and prominent institution catering to the professional education needs of the young generation, when we reach 2023. Bishop Jerome Institute strives hard, not only to impart quality professional education, but also to inspire basic human values and mould its students to be socially responsible and disciplined citizens. It serves all deserving students across the entire communal fabric of the State, without any differentiation whatsoever.

LARAVEL FOR BEGINNERS
Laravel Beginner Course is a 100% practical, project-based program designed for individuals with no prior programming experience, including students, freelancers, and aspiring junior developers. Spanning 12 weeks, the curriculum guides learners through the core architecture of the Laravel framework, PHP basics, the Model-View-Controller (MVC) pattern, and front-end integration using Blade templates and Bootstrap. Students will master database management using MySQL and Eloquent ORM, implement secure forms with robust validation, handle file uploads, and build role-based authentication systems. The course also introduces advanced concepts like complex database relationships and API development before concluding with version control and GitHub deployment. SOFTWARE TESTING
The Software Testing Course is a comprehensive, industry-focused training program designed to equip learners with the skills required to ensure software quality, reliability, and performance. The course covers both Manual Testing and Automation Testing, providing a strong foundation in software testing methodologies, quality assurance processes, and modern testing tools used in the IT industry.
Participants begin by learning software testing fundamentals, including SDLC, STLC, Agile methodology, Scrum framework, test case design, bug reporting, requirement traceability, testing metrics, and various testing types such as functional, non-functional, web, mobile, and API testing. The program develops a thorough understanding of quality assurance practices and software validation techniques.
The course also includes SQL for Testers, enabling learners to validate backend data and perform database testing using queries, joins, views, aggregate functions, and stored procedures. Additionally, participants gain programming knowledge through Core Java, which serves as the foundation for automation testing.
A major focus of the program is Automation Testing with Selenium, where students learn Selenium IDE, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Page Object Model (POM), data-driven frameworks, cross-browser testing, and automated test execution. The curriculum further covers API Testing with Postman, Performance Testing using Apache JMeter, and project management practices using Agile and Jira.
