Technical Education Council Chapters in Educational Institutions

The Technical Education Council is initiating Chapters in Schools, Colleges, Universities, Polytechnic Institutions, ITIs, and other Educational Institutions with the vision of empowering students through skill development, technical exposure, leadership opportunities, internships, entrepreneurship orientation, and career-focused learning.

These Chapters shall function as active student-driven units within institutions, creating a platform where students can learn beyond academics and become future-ready professionals, innovators, and entrepreneurs.

Objectives of the Chapter

1. Training Students at a Young Age

The initiative focuses on identifying and nurturing students during their academic years itself. The Chapter shall help students develop:

  • Leadership qualities
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Technical and professional competencies
  • Creativity and innovation
  • Team coordination and management skills
  • Confidence and personality development

Early exposure to practical learning and professional environments shall help students become responsible and career-oriented individuals.

2. Skill Development Courses & Training Programs

The Chapter shall organize various skill development programs and industry-oriented training sessions in collaboration with experts and professionals.

Programs may include:

  • Digital Marketing
  • Artificial Intelligence & Emerging Technologies
  • Entrepreneurship Development
  • Leadership & Public Speaking
  • Career Guidance Programs
  • Technical Workshops

3. Internship Trainings & Subsidised Courses

Students associated with the Chapter shall receive opportunities for:

Formation of Chapters

Eligibility

Only one Chapter/Unit shall be permitted in one Educational Institution. Educational Institutions including Schools, Colleges, Universities, Polytechnic Colleges, ITIs, and Training Institutions may apply.

Leadership Structure

The Chapter shall primarily be student-led.

Student Leadership Team

Student leaders should preferably be selected from students who are not in their final year, ensuring continuity of Chapter activities.

The Chapter shall consist of:

  • President – Responsible for overall leadership and coordination of the Chapter activities.
  • Secretary – Responsible for organizing meetings, documentation, and coordination of programs.

Additional positions may include: Joint Secretary, Program Coordinators, Student Volunteers, Media & Communication Coordinators, Convenor / Mentor

The Chapter shall function under the guidance of a Convenor who may be: College Union Leader, Faculty Mentor, Staff Representative from the Institution

The Convenor shall support, guide, and coordinate the activities of the Chapter with the institution and the Technical Education Council.

Institutions interested in establishing a Chapter may register through the official website:

Registration Requirements

Institutions shall submit:

  • Institution Details
  • Details of Student Leaders
  • Convenor/Mentor Information
  • Approval from Institution Authorities

Upon approval, the Chapter shall receive recognition and operational guidance from the Technical Education Council.
