New Delhi, April 2026:
In a major step toward strengthening practical technical education, the National Informatics Centre Services Incorporated (NICSI) has opened applications for its Internship Programme 2026, targeting students interested in emerging domains such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and e-governance.
The initiative aims to provide students with direct exposure to real-world government technology projects, allowing them to work on digital infrastructure, public service platforms, and cybersecurity systems. The internship window, open in early April, has already attracted significant attention from engineering and IT students across the country.
Experts believe that such programs are crucial in bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. With increasing emphasis on hands-on experience, practical training, and real-world exposure, internships are becoming an essential component of technical education in India.
The move aligns with the broader national focus on skill development, digital governance, and employment readiness, ensuring that students are equipped with industry-relevant skills before entering the workforce.
